NDLEA Partners To Train Security Operatives, Others On Drug Abuse Prevention, Management

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in partnership with a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Advocate for Global Peace Forum International, has trained security operatives and caregivers, including teachers and counsellors on the prevention and management of drug abuse.

He also urge stakeholders to flayed the prevalence of drug abuse and to join efforts at curbing the menace in Imo

Acting state Commander of the NDLEA in Imo, Abubakar Wali, who spoke at the end of a two-day workshop in Owerri, at the weekend, solicited more cooperation in the area of intelligence sharing among security agencies.

Wali charged security agencies, “to complement efforts of NDLEA, under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa, against the societal ill.”

He also thanked the NGO for partnering with the agency in delivering its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), and pledged readiness for further collaboration.

He said: “The NDLEA is working day and night to fight the spate of drug abuse in our society; but it can do better with the continued collaboration of other security agencies.”

The menace of drug abuse is not something we cannot tackle. We can, and we will not give up on this fight.”
